“Who do you work with?”

Pertaining to the fishing industry; we work with clients of all sizes. From large companies that outsource production, to small lure businesses gaining momentum in the fishing industry. While we started out working with some hobbyists, our services are now geared towards working with established businesses.

“Why don’t you work with lure making hobbyists?”

As a design studio, our goal is to establish ongoing relationships with companies who regularly need our services. Our product development services are an investment in your business.

We fully understand and support the hobbyist level bait making scene. That’s why we offer a line of generic molds in our online store.

“Where are you located?”

Proudly based in the good ol’ USA in Lynn, MA about 10mi north of Boston.

On-site meetings by appointment only.

“Do you have flat rates for your services?”

Unfortunately, no. Due to the infinite number of variables that go into each individual project, we are unable to set flat rates for any of our services. We provide a quote for each project we take on.

“How do I obtain a quote for your services?”

Please browse our services page and fill out the quote request form for the service you are interested in.

Once we have enough information, we’ll be happy to discuss what we can do for you!

The more detail you can provide, the quicker you will receive a quote. “How much for a (insert soft bait style here)” does not give us enough detail to quote you. Think styling, rough dimensions, number of cavities, size and type of mold, scale of production, etc..

While some prospective clients make a connection with us on social media, we DO NOT conduct business via social media messaging.

“How do you accept payment?”

Intuit digital invoicing, Paypal, and checks.

Each of our services differs in the way we invoice our clients. Down payments, full payments, etc…

“How long does it take for Row Innovations to complete the project I have paid for?”

While some projects have a turn-around time of a few days, and others 6 months or more, we ask our clients to consider what goes into the work they are requesting. We are a small design studio providing professional product development services specific to a very niche industry. We will always give an estimated turn-around time when we quote you on your project.

While, we are not Amazon, we understand the importance of serving our clients in a timely manner and will do everything in our power to do so. We work on a first paid, first served basis. Communication between our team and our clients is an extremely important part of the service we provide here at Row Innovations. We will keep you updated as we work on your project.

“Why is your phone number not listed on your website?”

At any given time we are working with 10+ clients who have paid us to develop their products for them. If our small team has to pause and take phone calls all day answering questions, we will never get anywhere.

We understand that email isn’t always the easiest way to convey the details of your project. If you wish to schedule a phone call, please send us an email and we will be happy to set something up.

Texts nagging us for updates will not be answered. Period.

We try to answer social media messages and emails when we can. Please don’t take it personally!

“Can I stop by the shop?”

Due to amount of intellectual property laying around, we are not open to the public. Meetings can be scheduled by appointment only.

“Can you copy a bait and produce molds for it?”

Do you own the rights to this design?  - Sure thing.

Is this a preexisting product produced by another company/individual? - Absolutely NOT.

“Will you sell my design/molds to others?”

We will NEVER reproduce your molds for someone else. While custom work is considerably more expensive than our generic molds found in our online store, we do not charge extra to keep your molds and designs out of other people’s hands.

How some companies in the industry can justify working like that is mind blowing… That ain’t us.

“Do you share 3D Files?”

Are these files you speak of related to a project/service you have paid us for? Sure thing.

Are you asking us to share the 3D files associated with someone else’s project? Uhhhh… No?

“Will you sign a Non Disclosure Agreement?”

In relation to projects in the fishing industry, 99% of the time the answer is a hard no. Why not? This sets us up for failure. In some situations we may agree to sign an NDA. However, this is in VERY rare situations where we feel this can help protect us.

We provide a contract and formal quote that outlines the details of every project along with an agreement to never share or reproduce any files, models, prototypes, molds, samples, prints etc from your project.
The second we sell someone else’s design or rip someone off we will lose all credibility within this tight-knit industry and our business will collapse in no time.... It’s just not worth it to us.

What? Just because we made a 4” craw mold for you (that you loosely based off of 14 other similar baits on the market) we can’t make someone else’s request for a 4” craw? How does that make any sense?

We are here to bring ideas to life. Not share intellectual property. The simple contract we provide and sign on for each project clearly outlines this.

“My neighbor’s kid’s friend knows a guy who has a 3D printer at his nephew’s school who can print it cheaper”

Nice man, go do that.

“Do ya’ll sponsor? I’m a young angler from (X) who fishes Lake (X) with a Youtube following of (X) subs and I could really get your name out there!”

Yea... You and the other 200 clones of you in our inbox.

Pro-Tip: Work for it.

Do you strictly provide your services for the fishing industry?

While 90% of our work is within the fishing industry, our team has a diverse background in product development and engineering. Aside from our owner’s 10yrs of experience in the fishing world, we have also worked in industries such as toys, furniture, lab testing equipment, QC operations, and education to name a few.

Got a question that you don’t see listed here?

Hit us up. We understand that not everyone is familiar with how a specialized design firm operates. No question is a dumb question. (unless you’re asking for free stuff/sponsorships)
